‘The place where I live…’
Our PYP unit for the second grades is ‘the place where I live’ so I want to share some information that I’ve found for this unit.İstanbul has been a key stop for the international culture and arts activities on the world for some time. You should visit this inspiring and enchanting city which has produced several languages, religions and civilizations in its 2700 years. You can also find some facts and information all about Turkey when you watch the great presentation ‘Did You Know That/Facts About Turkey’. This link highly recommended if you want to learn more about Turkey.
‘If you want to know İstanbul well you have to listen, for it has things to tell you. Evolving in the languages of the region over the centuries, stories, fairy tales and legends have come to anchor off our shores, as if to wait for other times…’Mario Levi.

Very beautiful depiction of your place Neslihan! Makes me nostalgic for a place I haven’t been – if this is possible. Can’t wait to come.

This is my city where I was born and grew up. Right now, i am so far from it and watching that video I have had goosebumps, I miss Istanbul a lot. While walking on the streets, you are getting impressed with the history, geography and multiculturalism of my city. It is one of the best cities in the world, everybody should go there and see it. It is the only city connecting two continents. It is one of the places that you can be happy about everything such as food, culture, landscape, people… LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!
